DAP Graduate School Holds Class Orientation/Briefing for MPM DevSec Batch 20

31 August 2022 – The Academy’s Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM), through its Security Governance and Diplomacy Cluster (SGDC), held the Class Orientation/Briefing for the members of the Command and General Staff Course (CGSC) Class 72 who would like to enroll in the Master in Public Management major in Development and Security (MPM-DevSec) Batch 19.

Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, Dean of the DAP Graduate School, welcomed the academic counterparts from the CGSC, the roster of Faculty in Charges (FIC), and the DevSec co-learners to the program. She then introduced the DAP Graduate School to the co-learners and showed the various concepts behind the overarching framework of Development and Security.

Ms. Alyn Joy D. Baltazar, SGDC Program Manager, discussed the Program History, Curriculum and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Thereafter, the FIC of the Fundamentals of Research module, Dr. Mark Joseph T. Calano, shared words of encouragement with the co-learners.

Ms. Precious Reforma, Learning Manager of the MPM DevSec program, briefed the co-learners regarding the admission process, the important forms to be filled out, and the documentary requirements for submission. An open forum followed it to respond to the questions of the co-learners. The event was hosted by Ms. Hanah Hadaza De Ocampo.

For thirteen consecutive years (2009-present), the DAP Graduate School and CGSC AFPETDC, through the MPM DevSec Program, have worked together to enhance the competencies of future leaders in the military. To date, the program has produced 1,973 graduates from the different branches of service of the AFP and allied countries.

24 August 2022- The Development Academy of the Philippines-Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM) held its Academic Review for its Master in Public Management Major in Development and Security (MPM-DevSec) Batch 20 together with its academic counterparts from the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Armed Forces of the Philippines Education Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC).

The Dean of the DAP-GSPDM, Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina welcomed our counterparts headed by Captain Francis Alexander R Jose PN (GSC), CGSC Commandant, and Captain Marcus Jason Bartolome, PN (GSC), Head of Academics.

After which, DAP Graduate School’s Security Governance and Diplomacy Cluster (SGDC) Program Manager, Ms. Alyn Joy D. Baltazar, presented the evaluation of previous batches and the way forward of the twinned modules for the coming batches of the MPM DevSec Program. The Faculty-in-Charge Dr. Froilan C. Calilung then discussed the proposed syllabus of the Policy and Strategy Module.
