June 2, 2022 - DAP-GSPDM Dean Lizan Perante-Calina is invited as resource person to give a lecture on Peace, Security, and Economic Development in line with Mandanas-Garcia ruling, as part of the Executive Course on Futures Planning and Project Management Phase 2: Leadership Convergence on Peace and Security and Economic Development organized by DILG-Ormoc City and the City Government of Ormoc.
This engagement is part of DAP’s ongoing academic collaboration with DILG-Ormoc City and Ormoc City LGU through a Memorandum of Understanding signed last 24 March 2022. Said partnership also includes co-development and co-implementation of capacity building programs, conduct of research studies on local governance, sharing of knowledge products through the Local Governance Regional Resource Center, and participation in the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee of Ormoc City LGU.

Awarding Ceremony for the Executive Course in Public Management Batch 2
26 May 2022 – The Development Academy of the Philippines Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM), through its Security Governance and Diplomacy Cluster (SGDC), held an Awarding Ceremony for its second batch of student-officers enrolled under the Executive Course in Public Management (ECPM) a twinning program with Philippine Airforce Officer School (PAFOS). A total of fifty-one (51) PAF student officers with ranks of Captain and Major received their Certificates of Completion at the DAP Conference Center Tagaytay where the event was held.
The ceremony began with a video message from DAP-GSPDM Dean, Dr. Lizan E. Perante Calina, who praised the students for their perseverance and reminded them of DAP’s core values- Integrity, Professionalism, Patriotism and Resiliency. Likewise, she expressed her gratitude to PAF for their continuous trust and support to the program. The Awarding of the Certificates and the presentation of the Plaque of Appreciation to PAFOS was facilitated by DAP-GSPDM Faculty Member, Dr. Chester B. Cabalza who was in attendance to represent the Dean. In the same manner, PAFOS Assistant Commandant, Major Gilbert Ticman PAF accepted the plaque and delivered his closing remarks on behalf of the Commandant, Colonel Maria Christina O Basco PAF (GSC), who was unable to attend the morning ceremony but was present for the afternoon event. The president of the batch, Captain Richard Michael T Dilag PAF also gave a short speech to thank DAP-GSPDM and to inspire and congratulate his fellow student-officers.The singing of the DAP Hymn and a quick photo session rounded out the program.
After having lunch in the dining hall, participants returned to the auditorium for the afternoon “socials'' which was hosted and facilitated by the students themselves. At the end of the program, PAFOS Commandant, Colonel Maria Christina O Basco PAF (GSC) handed a token of appreciation to DAP and expressed her gratitude towards the Graduate School and the SGDC team for taking the time and effort to host a live closing ceremony for the students. She also urged the batch to continue their pursuit for knowledge and excellence.
Other members of PAFOS counterparts who were in attendance were Head of Academics Department, Major Aristotle B Magallanes PAF, Civilian Human Resource, PAFOS Resident PhD and Speechwriter Commanding General, Ms. Janice L Bernabe, Ed.D.,CivHR, Director for Logistics and Course Director, Cpt Renmar Ernest E Samonte PAF, and lastly, Head of Student Affairs Department, 2Lt Ruth Angelique R Pasos PAF.
This twinning program runs twice every year as part of the PAFOS Squadron Officer Course.
