A New Frontier: The Conduct of the DAP Graduate School International Research Colloquium on SDGs and Futures Thinking
24 February 2022 - With over 400 virtual attendees, the DAP Graduate School International Research Colloquium on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Futures Thinking was marked as a success in providing a rostrum for engaging yet formal discussions on various SDG thematic areas and Futures Thinking.
We welcomed speakers from the Senate of the Philippines, United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) – United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and field experts from renowned academic institutions.
For two consecutive days, this event was able to highlight the importance of revisiting the SDGs as a global and local commitment and likewise brought forth the dynamic concept of futures thinking and innovation through research. Another event highlight was the launch of the Compendium of Research Papers which featured the work of the GSPDM Research Fellows.
As part of the message of the DAP Graduate School Dean, Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, “the significance of this event can be seen through our own growth as a unique educational institution of this country. A milestone that goes directly as an accomplishment in our strategic direction, a new frontier”.
